Delivery Chain Architekt (f/m/d)

We design and implement embedded software for electronic control units of the BMW cars as well as related tools and frameworks. By delivering software all the way from the idea to the final product we lead BMW into the future of digitalization and mobility.
BMW vehicles consist of various embedded Linux ECUs, most of which are developed and integrated in-house. As a Delivery Chain Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing complex delivery chains and continuous integration (CI) systems that enable seamless software integration.
What awaits you?
- Design and develop multi-stage CI systems for integrating software into various Linux and Android based ECUs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software integration strategies.
- Ensure consistency of the various CI systems across the different ECUs.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to the development teams on best practices for software delivery.
- Utilize the latest industry trends and technologies such as Zuul CI, GitHub EE, or Gerrit.
What should you bring along?
- University degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
- At least 8 years of professional experience with CI systems.
- Solid understanding of software development process and life-cycle with focus on Continuous Integration (CI).
- Experience in developing large CI pipelines, preferably in Zuul CI (or GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
- Proficiency in Ansible.
- Knowledge of Yocto or Android Build systems is a plus.
- A joy for everything software, a passion for working with others to tackle problems and develop software solutions.
- Business-fluent English.
